We have created this blog as an exemplar for a primary
source photo analysis assignment that could be used for the grade eleven course
"American History".
We selected specific themes that were relevant to the eras
and analyzed photos associated with each era. The process is broken down into
three analytical steps: What do I see; What does this mean; And then performing
further research on the theme to ensure accuracy in your inferences.
This process allows students to analyze history through
sources that are unbiased, extremely relevant, and are a part of history.
